Responsibilities:
As a key member of the veterinary team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
* Assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
* Monitoring and caring for small animal patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
* Conducting health checks and maintaining detailed medical records.
* Providing compassionate support to pet owners, addressing their concerns, and offering post-operative care advice.
* Assisting with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and sample collection.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification, with active RCVS registration.
* Prior experience working in a small animal clinic or similar setting.
* Proficiency in nursing skills, including catheter placement, bandaging, and administering medications.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with pet owners.
* Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
