As part of a small team of L&OD Project Leads, this role provides the opportunity to lead on key programmes of work across the L&OD portfolio that support Trust Strategy in the fields of Culture & Leadership and Learning & Development. We are recruiting to 2 posts and are looking for individuals with experience and interest in any of the following areas of work; • Team Working • Talent Management • Learning & Development As a member of either the Learning or Organisational Development team, this role will lead projects in these areas, and design, facilitate and evaluate a range of associated L&OD offerings. The role will also facilitate the delivery of: • bespoke organisational development initiatives and interventions • leadership and management offerings • Learning & Development offerings e.g. Trust Induction The post holder will need to be highly motivated and confident working in an adaptive environment. Having experience and understanding of one of more of the identified areas of work will be essential. The role will provide leadership to L&OD team members, supporting the facilitation of team meetings and undertaking line management duties. Main duties of the job The role reports into the Senior Organisational Development Service Lead who co-manages the OD team and will be accountable for the delivery of the culture and leadership strategy, the day to day operational elements of the team, and the OD agenda. Working with Organisational Development colleagues your primary role is the design, delivery and management of high quality leadership development programmes. The post requires managing OD project leads who will be involved in delivering leadership and culture development at NUH. You will be comfortable working at a fast pace to meet deadlines, often dealing with ambiguity whilst maintaining high standards and acting as an ambassador for the department. Whilst your workload will vary over time, we anticipate it will be split approximately as follows: • Training design and delivery: 70% • Leadership development: 20% • Other Culture and Leadership / Trust priority work: 10% The above is for guidance only and can over time to meet organisational needs. You will be required to work flexibly and with agility across the Trust and external sites as needed, with a base at the City Campus. Currently there is a degree of hybrid (home and office based) working. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The primary role is the design, delivery and management of high quality Leadership development programmes Additionally the role is to: 1. Support the Organisational Development leadership team in the management and delivery of a number pieces of work that support the Trust’s strategic priorities 2. Contribute to the development of the NUH strategic programmes such as Culture and Leadership Values & Behaviours, bespoke OD interventions that support QI and staff engagement 3. Research, review and make proposals linked to new and emerging NUH policy and procedures 4. Deputise for the Organisational Development Manager or Assistant Director of Learning and Organisational Development as required 5. Work to ensure alignment between the various OD projects, the overall aims and objectives of the department and the Trusts strategic priorities 6. Using the OD Consultancy Cycle initiate new evidence based approaches to support the modernisation and development of QI in conjunction with Clinical Leads and Service Managers. 7. Line manage and support the development of direct reports, ensuring best practice is shared both within and across teams.
