Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies is investing £400M to introduce a new, state-of-the-art biomanufacturing facility. This biomanufacturing facility will provide additional Cell Culture cGMP manufacturing capacity to the existing Billingham, UK campus and is expected to become operational in 2025. For Project Borealis, there are 2 phases to the role; in phase 1 the successful applicant will join the project team and contribute to the set up of the facility, participating in preparation activities to ensure Borealis is operationally ready for December 2025. Phase 1: Initially this will be a project role during the introduction of a new Flexible Cell Culture Facility (FCCF) at Billingham. The job holder will support with the implementation and set up of the new facility to ensure the warehouse and the shift team (Logistic Technicians) are operationally ready for the start of phase 2. Phase 2: To lead members of the Logistics Shift Team in the management and continuous improvement and the routine running of the shift to facilitate the warehouse and logistics services within the FCCF at Billingham. The focus for the Logistics Shift Team Lead is on the FCCF warehouse services, storage control, and movement of materials throughout the FCCF. This role also includes the management of the buffer solutions in material staging and buffer storage area. This role is responsible for managing and working with the Logistic Technicians during the shifts, to ensure targets are adhered to. This will involve working with the team to unload, receipt, store, pick, transfer consumables and raw materials, to ensure targets are adhered to in a safe and compliant manner. This will also involve the logistical moves of buffers within the buffer staging area to Buffer hold as well as moving equipment to external drum/waste storage areas. The role will work with the Logistic Lead, and Supply Chain to ensure that all materials are brought onto the FCCF site and stored, picked and made available to send to manufacturing assets in line with the production schedules. Good communication is to be maintained between the Shifts, Management, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths. Professional qualification in Warehouse or comparable proven experience. A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role or discipline with line management responsibilities. Exerience of using SAP or SAP HANA or Similar Systems. Experience in the implementation of Safe Systems of work. Experience in managing team members who work shifts.
