Position: An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist at Biggart Hospital.
What you will do:
* The provision of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for individuals in Ayrshire & Arran, addressing needs within the physical, psychological, environmental, cognitive, perceptual, sensory, social, self-care, domestic, communication, and community living aspects of function.
* The planning, development, and management of services which aim to enable individuals to achieve their maximum potential in relation to occupational performance. This approach will support the facilitation of safe and successful discharges from hospital, prevention of admission to hospital, and/or enabling an individual to remain within their community environment.
* You will be well supported through well-established robust supervision structures and processes and have the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of health, social work colleagues, and colleagues from a range of voluntary organisations.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* Awareness of quality improvement methodology.
* Ability to adapt leadership and communication approaches to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Ability to clinically reason and develop treatment which meets service user outcomes.
* Ability to collaborate and positively influence teams.
* Ability to innovate.
* Experience of utilising outcome measures.
It is essential you have a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current registration with HCPC. A driving license/learning to drive is essential for this post. The hours are worked Monday to Friday, flexible working/full or part-time considered.
Hours: 37 per week.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership: UK Car licence is essential to this role.
