The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design, with experience in heavy industry, utilities, and food and beverage industries being highly desirable. This role involves working closely with clients, visiting sites, conducting surveys, and producing high-quality designs. The successful candidate will be required to manage projects efficiently, from initial concept through to fabrication and installation support. Role and Responsibilities: Engaging with clients to discuss future projects and design requirements. Conducting site surveys to assess project feasibility. Creating conceptual drawings and participating in client meetings. Preparing quotations for surveys, designs, and materials. Laser scanning and surveying. Developing 3D models and detailed design plans. Producing drawing packages, including fabrication and installation documentation. Compiling bills of materials for fabricators. Providing design assistance during fabrication when required. Overseeing project management, including creating Gantt charts and leading client meetings. Attending monthly internal meetings with the manager. Skills & Experience: We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience: Mechanical Engineering HNC or higher qualification. Proficiency in Autodesk Product Design Suite, primarily Inventor (or relevant client-based software). Experience in calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Familiarity with Microsoft Projects. Strong leadership and communication skills. Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel. A full UK driving licence. Desirable: Experience in working with structural steel, pipework, and sheet metal. Desirable: Experience in factories, food, pharmaceutical, and heavy industries. Why Should You Apply?
