We are recruiting for Tenant Liaison Workers to join our Short Term Housing Glasgow programme. Our Short Term Housing programme provides a link between private property owners and tenants. Our goal is to end homelessness by providing access to privately rented properties, as we believe that this is an effective and long-term solution.
The Tenant Liaison Worker will ensure a high-quality, customer focused housing management service within their individual property portfolio, ensuring effective customer liaison and promotion of tenant participation.
We are Right There, a charity celebrating our th anniversary. We provide tailored support for people, at home, and in the community. We are here for people who are living with the effects of homelessness, poverty, substance use, or family breakdowns.
Last year we supported almost 4, individuals, helping to prevent them from becoming homeless or separated from the people they love. Every person’s story is unique, and everyone’s route home is different - it doesn’t matter what the situation is – we’re not here to judge, only to help.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Develop positive, respectful and compassionate relationships with the people we support, focusing on their strengths and aspirations as individuals.
2. Have a high standard of professional integrity with colleagues and other professionals.
3. Establish clear professional boundaries with the people we support. Assessing, and progressing all referrals made to the service in line with service specification.
4. Effective engagement with landlords and letting agents in the management of properties, ensuring they are fit for purpose and comply with legal, health and safety and corporate standards.
5. Maintaining occupancy levels through efficient allocation and void management of properties.
6. Liaison with external agencies such as Community Homeless Teams, Housing Benefit and Council Tax teams, landlords, support providers, health programmes, local authority and other agencies as required.
7. Arranging and facilitating tenancy support with those we support to meet contractual requirements and individual need.

What we expect from you

We would ideally like to hear from applicants who have experience of working in a housing/social care environment. Evidence of continued professional development or a housing/social care related qualification would also be beneficial.

What you can expect from us..
8. The post holder will report to a Senior Tenant Liaison Worker and through them to the Housing Services Manager.
9. Your normal working hours are 35 per week Monday to Friday
10. Annual leave entitlement of hours holiday (equivalent to 6 weeks) pro rata per year in the first year rising to hours (equivalent to 8 weeks) pro rata per year in the second. This includes public holidays
11. You will be automatically enrolled into the People’s Pension in the month that you will complete 3-months of employment, provided you meet the auto-enrolment criteria
