Role Overview: As a supply teacher you will be responsible for stepping in when a regular teacher is absent. Your role will involve delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour and supporting students in achieving their academic goals. You'll have the chance to work across various subjects and year groups, which will offer you a wide range of teaching experiences. Key Responsibilities: Delivering engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the provided lesson plans. Maintaining an orderly and productive classroom environment, ensuring students remain on task. Providing support to students with varying academic abilities and behavioural needs. Collaborating with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of learning. Upholding school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety standards. Reporting on student progress where required and ensuring accurate records are kept. Skills & Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (necessary for secondary roles). Experience in teaching [specify subject areas or age ranges] is preferred but not essential. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A positive and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to quickly adapt to different classrooms and teaching environments. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
