Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced nurse with a passion for neurosciences to help uphold and improve the high quality of care that we deliver. The successful candidate will lead a team and constantly strive to deliver change and find new and innovative ways of working across Neuro Surgery, Neurology, Stroke, and Spinal care.
Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a passion for neurosciences, a proven track record of implementing change, and will be able to recognize the need for constant improvement. They will prioritize the wellbeing of patients and staff and will collaborate and benchmark with other units both regionally and nationally.
They will have a proven track record of good financial management and effective use of resources to provide the best patient care and ensure safety. They will work well within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and various stakeholders to meet patient needs.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience
* 1st Level Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC Register / HCPC Registration
* First degree or equivalent
* Masters or equivalent experience
* Leadership training

* Extensive knowledge of National and Local NHS and N&M agenda
* Extensive experience in the acute healthcare setting in clinical leadership/clinical management position
* Evidence of advanced leadership qualities
* Formal and informal teaching experience
* Staff and resource management experience
* Understanding of specialist area
