Our Design Team:
Venterra’s Design team is a multi-disciplinary group combining offshore and onshore civil and geotechnical engineering expertise, operating in the offshore wind, marine development and onshore energy transition sectors. We combine our diverse skill sets to provide tailored solutions to suit client challenges and development plans. This incorporates the design and analysis of foundations and substations for floating and fixed Offshore Wind, Transport & Installation, Port and Marine infrastructure development and Onshore Renewable energy transition assets. Our multinational team operate on an agile basis to service clients globally.
Role Description:
As a Senior Foundation Installation Engineer, you will be working closely with a passionate and ambitious team of installation and design engineers to deliver innovative and optimized solutions to our clients. You will be working on multiple projects, including where GDG is appointed as Owners Engineer, supporting our clients on WTG foundations related scopes for both fixed and floating projects. It is expected that you will also provide support to proposal preparation and that you will support and mentor the career development of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Report to GDG Transportation and Installation Team Lead.
* Provide Installation expertise for all type of WTGs foundations available in the market ranging from fixed to floating foundation types.
* Work on a multidisciplinary team together with other installation, design, marine experts.
* Support our clients on the development of their projects during all phases of the WTG foundation package, from early project development to execution and commissioning phase.
* Liaise with Clients on all aspects relevant to the T&I of WTG foundation projects, including equipment transportation, marshalling, load-out of equipment, transit to site, offshore lifting, piling, noise mitigation, drilling, TPs and anode cages installation.
* Develop and support in developing foundation screening studies, foundation technical specifications, installation engineering procedures, installation analyses report as required by clients.
* Develop and support in developing early project phase supply chain mappings, foundation fabrication, transportation, marshalling and offshore installation execution strategies including installation programs and CAPEX estimate.
* Risk Management including identification and management of any relevant risks and opportunities identified, their score impacts and mitigation measures. Participate to risk reviews as required.
* Develop Employers Requirements as part of the preparation of ITT/RFP deliverables, examine proposals received from potential Tier 1 foundation fabricators and T&I contractors from both technical and commercial point of view.
* Capturing and sharing lessons learnt, chairing lessons learnt sessions.
* Ad hoc support.
Minimum Qualifications:
* > 7 years in offshore wind foundation engineering and installation.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of the offshore wind foundation market.
* A University Degree or Masters in marine engineering, or related disciplines.
