The role
We are seeking to appoint a Professor with an interest in language education. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates who have expertise in one of the following areas: applied psycholinguistics/experimental work in cognitive language learning, L2 writing, or educational technology.
The role will involve design, delivery and production of teaching and learning material for a range of core postgraduate modules within our campus Med TESOL programme. You will work with Professor Annabel Watson (SoE Director of Education and Student Experience) and the wider TESOL team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the MEd programme and in accord with the Faculty’s education strategy.
We are looking for a leading international figure with the ability to attract world-class academics to their research groups. Applicants will be innovative researchers with a strong track record of research funding and international quality publications.
The role is available from 31 January 2025 on a permanent basis.

The starting salary will be from £77,109 per annum (Prof Band 1), depending on qualifications and experience.
