An opportunity has arisen within West Regions for a Head of Service position. Likely to be based within the Ayrshire and Argyll and Clyde areas and the post holder’s base will be determined at interview. All Head of Service posts within the Regions are generic and the successful candidate would be responsible for the operational management of all SAS assets within that Sub Region.
The post holder will also carry a strategic portfolio of work as the lead officer across the sub region and will be expected to engage with partners within the NHS and externally at a strategic level.
This is a Senior Post within the Region, and the successful candidate will be an individual who has a proven track record at middle management level (e.g. ASM or other appropriate management experience) and has a proven ability of achievement in operations and in delivering strategic objectives.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. If there is any change to what is currently required, this will be confirmed by either the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team. For more details on these changes please visit: .
