Are you ready to take the wheel and lead a dedicated team in maintaining and improving Stoke-on-Trent’s roads?
We're looking for a dynamic and motivated Driver Chargehand (Ganger) to be at the forefront of our Highways Maintenance Team.
As a Driver Chargehand, you will:
1. Lead and support a team of operatives in delivering high-quality pothole repairs and highway maintenance.
2. Oversee commercial activities such as road markings and dropped crossings, contributing to revenue generation.
3. Take responsibility for on-site safety, efficiency, and work quality.
4. Plan, organise, and execute maintenance and improvement tasks, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
5. Make a real impact on the city’s infrastructure, contributing to safer, cleaner, and better-connected communities.
What We Need from You:
1. Experience in highways maintenance or a similar field.
2. Strong leadership and organisational skills.
3. A proactive approach with a can-do attitude.
