Paint Pots has been established since 2000 and now has 6 nurseries and 7 pre-schools in Southampton and Hampshire, well known for having an inclusive, loving and homely environment which is safe, secure and stimulating. We are looking for a pre-school room leader to join our nursery in Swaythling. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the room, to keep staff performance to its top level, have excellent communication skills and keep your staff and children motivated and enthusiastic.
Roles and Responsibilities of a Room Leader:
The core requirements for the job role are:
Understand and have a good knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, the Inspection Handbook, Ofsted and Local Authority requirements.
Ensure that all statutory guidance is adhered to.
To ensure that the setting is a safe environment for children, staff and others.
To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their childs development.
Leading, and working as part of a team, where all members are valued under the supervision of the setting manager and deputy manager to ensure the safe and effective day to day running of the room.
Being a positive influence, motivator and ambassador for Paint Pots in all situations, promoting our values.
Working in close collaboration with the manager, deputy manager, setting SENDCo and the wider support team and outside agencies to ensure the continuing development and high standards of care and education in the setting.
To be responsible for the maintenance of records and the assessment and recording of development, progress and attainment for every child including 2 year progress checks, where appropriate.

Essential Criteria of a Room Leader:
Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage
