THE ROLE:
As a Producer you will be expected to lead the production efforts of complex, high-value projects ensuring that quality, budget and good working processes are maintained, and that the client and the company expectations are met. In this elevated production role, you are expected to model outstanding producing skills at all times.
As the primary lead of projects you are expected to initiate and guide the process with a steady hand and motivational demeanor, ensuring all team members are well informed and set up to do the best work possible. Likewise, as the main point of contact for clients, it’s essential for the Producer to communicate clearly and effectively and in a time sensitive manner at all stages of production.
This role is expected to be able to report into our studio in central London as needed, though we do offer WFH flexibility when projects and bandwidth allow.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead and manage the entire creative project lifecycle from briefing to final delivery, and be a key sounding board for all members of the team
* Working closely with the US production team and wider team as needed on a project by project basis
* Serve as the team leader of each of your projects - keep morale high, help prevent burn out/prompt time off as compensation for long hours, and have some fun making cool stuff
* Define and monitor project scope, including timeline/production schedules, deliverables, resources and budgets, ensuring projects deliver on time and within budget
* Assess and report how each project is tracking against the budget to the designated project account on a weekly basis, identifying solutions for any scope creep or inefficiencies. This includes reconciling logged staff time and expenses
* Develop intuitive and efficient project plans and budget estimates for new work
* Foster a collaborative environment by ensuring key creative team members are involved in briefings, brainstorms, reviews, etc., while also managing the team’s time by only including team members who are essential to that step of the process
* Work with the wider Production and Operations teams to continually evaluate, adjust and uphold departmental processes and workflows to improve efficiency, quality and work/life balance, including developing the process/workflow documentation as needed. Tailor production workflows to best support each project’s unique needs
* Evaluate project development and guide the team in ensuring the project’s creative vision and high quality standards are realized both internally and externally
* Own and drive all internal and external project meetings to make sure the meeting is as productive and efficient as possible. It is your responsibility to develop a useful meeting agenda prior to each meeting, ensure team members have done what’s needed to be
* Clearly communicate project plans, processes, status, objectives, timelines, direction and feedback to internal team members as well as clients. Any verbal communication should always be followed up with a written recap
* Work closely with those in charge of bandwidth management to schedule both internal and external creative and production resources as far in advance as possible, and continually assess bandwidth to make recommendations for expansion and contraction as necessary
* Schedule and coordinate the work of writing/creative, editorial, game capture, and art departments as is required by individual jobs
* Support the UK Operations Manager in helping to onboard contract and full time editors, writers, creative directors, and producers
* Create, manage, organize, and distribute all project information and documentation, including project or vendor briefs
* Keep the project’s Account Lead informed of a project’s progress and be proactive in identifying and escalating issues and your proposed solutions to them
* Build and maintain a strong rapport with clients by being collaborative, consistent and proactive in identifying and addressing their needs
* Maintain an extensive and comprehensive knowledge of each brand/project in order to ensure all deliverables are meeting client and internal expectations
* Route creative for approval to appropriate stakeholders and develop corresponding plans to address multiple, sometimes conflicting, pieces of feedback
* Send internal feedback through the usual channels so it can be filtered by the Creative Lead and/or Creative Director on the project
* Review and relay client notes to all departments
* Ensure all notes are addressed before sending an asset to the client for review or delivery. If a note is not addressable, be sure to clearly communicate to the client as to why
* Ensure all vendor and client contracts are executed correctly
* Follow-up with clients on outstanding payments when directed to do so
Skills And Experience
* 2-3 years production experience in an agency environment with clear examples of projects delivered end to end
* Extensive knowledge of Office 365 and/or G-Suite
* Experience with using project management tools such as Monday.com, Notion, Harvest, Forecast etc a bonus
* Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to create both internal and client-facing project delivery plans
* Experience with budget management
