About the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board
The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board operates:
1. 32 elementary schools
2. 3 middle schools
3. 8 secondary schools
Additionally, it runs an adult education program that provides quality Catholic education to 20,201 students.
The Board employs:
1. 1,200 full-time equivalent elementary and secondary teachers
2. 870 support staff, which includes:
1. Principals
2. Vice principals
3. Educational assistants
4. Child and youth workers
5. Early childhood educators
6. IT technicians
7. Campus ministers
8. School office support
9. Custodial and maintenance staff
10. Board office administration
11. Other professional staff
In an effort to provide support to address staffing concerns at certain times of the school year and to access a larger pool of qualified educators so that the Board can maximize safety, minimize disruption, and ensure the quality of education is maintained, the WECDSB is currently recruiting RETIRED EDUCATORS for the Occasional Teacher Roster “C” List.
In order to be considered, please ensure the following documents are uploaded to https://wecdsb.simplication.com as part of your application package:
1. Ontario College of Teachers certificate in “Good Standing”
2. Cover Letter and Resume (addressed to Mrs. Rosemary LoFaso)
3. Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Screening) dated within 6 months
4. Priest Reference Form – dated within 6 months
5. Recommendation Letter from a school administrator
