Lead Strategic Procurement in a Fast-Growing Business
This is a great opportunity to join a fast-scaling business with a clear mission and a product-led approach to growth. With increasing demand and ongoing investment in operations, looking to hire a Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and supplier management of packaging and raw materials.
The role is all about shaping and leading their direct procurement strategy, with a focus on building robust supplier relationships and delivering commercial value across core product categories.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team and play a key role in bringing structure and efficiency to the procurement function during a period of significant expansion.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading procurement for packaging and raw materials across multiple categories
Building and maintaining a category strategy aligned with business needs
Managing supplier selection, tendering, and contract negotiation processes
Writing RFQs and overseeing the sourcing of new products and materials
Developing supplier performance metrics and managing relationships
Collaborating with supply chain, finance, and fulfilment teams to ensure alignment on cost, quality, and availability.
Monitoring market trends and supply risks to inform procurement decisions
What you’ll need:
Essential:
Strong commercial skills and negotiation experience
Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
Experience writing RFQs and managing tender processes
Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
Solid understanding of procurement processes and contract management
High attention to detail and organisational skills
Experience developing category plans.
Desirable:
Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or a product-led environment
Familiarity with packaging and raw material sourcing
CIPS qualification or actively working towards one
