Working as part of a multi-skilled and disciplined engineering team, your ultimate objective is to ensure the smooth running of all production and process machinery.
This will include: responding to breakdowns - reactive maintenance, conducting servicing on machinery - planned maintenance, project work - installations, modifications, upgrades, and more. You will be working alongside electrical engineers on the same hours as you to provide a complete and high-level engineering service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance & repairs on equipment and machinery
2. Conduct inspections
3. Troubleshoot & diagnose
4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and equipment performance
5. Develop preventative maintenance schedules
6. Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
To apply you will need:
1. Some Mechanical & Electrical experience would be beneficial
2. Fault finding and repairing on a range of plant machinery
3. Previous experience working in the heavy industry - power, recycling, aggregates, building materials or others (beneficial)
4. Health and Safety knowledge would be desirable
5. Be able to work individually as well as part of a team
This position is responsible for assisting with the maintenance and day-to-day running of all fixed plant machinery to best practice standards to ensure production is maintained at the highest possible level. Working in Avonmouth, the successful candidate will be part of a team and work under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Site Manager.
There’s plenty of overtime on offer and you should have some flexibility in working hours/days - additional training will be provided for the right candidate.
