If you've ever stepped through the doors of a John Lewis or Waitrose shop, shopped online, or seen any of our adverts, you'll know there's something unique about us. That unique proposition is our Partners. As co-owners, they have a say in our business and receive a share of the profits, so they put time and effort into making it work.
Job Summary: This is a really important front line role. You represent us with every single customer you meet, and their impression of Waitrose & Partners is down to you. You should be passionate about providing the very highest levels of customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As Partners - members of the Partnership - it's our responsibility to ensure our success for the future. We proactively seek out opportunities to continuously improve the way we work, taking action to ensure the Partnership is efficient and we are all as productive as possible. You'll carry this ethos into your own role.
You’ll be the friendly face of our business – the helpful driver who delivers the unique blend of Waitrose quality and outstanding service right to our customers’ doors. When you’re not out and about, you’ll be at the store, assisting with stock control and cashiering, which may involve lifting heavy products. A good appreciation of health & safety is a must, along with excellent driving skills – a driving assessment will be part of your application.
Required Essential Experience Skills and Qualifications:
You will need a full valid UK manual driving licence with no more than six points – and you should be 18 years old or over. The application process will include a licence check and a security check.
Required Desirable Experience Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles would be welcomed.
Additional Information:
As a Partner, you will enjoy our unique benefits package, including staff discount, subsidised food in Partner dining rooms, discounts in local restaurants, subsidised learning, access to exclusive Partnership hotels, and more.
Please consider the following when making your application:
1. We occasionally close vacancies early in the event we receive a high volume of applications. Therefore, we recommend you apply early.
2. Print off the job description now if you require it.
3. Due to the nature of this role, all successful candidates will have a driving license check and DBS check carried out through a 3rd party registered body.
