Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician with previous experience with electro-mechanical assemblies such as connecting wiring harnesses, connector crimping and soldering and fault finding is required for well-established manufacturing company based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, East Anglia.
SALARY: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (DOE) + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, East Anglia (IP28)
You must hold a full driving license and have your own vehicle as there is no public transport to the site.

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician with previous experience with electro-mechanical assemblies such as connecting wiring harnesses, connector crimping and soldering and fault finding.
Working as the Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician you will be part of the Operations Team, reporting to the Production Manager, and will be involved with the in-process inspection and assembly operations for the in-house manufactured laboratory equipment.
As the Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician you will join a well-established company that has helped revolutionise scientific research, enabling and empowering scientists to explore new chemical pathways and applications.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Production Technician / Manufacturing Mechanical Assembly Technician will include:
1. Connecting wiring harness
2. Small connector crimping and soldering
3. Mechanical assembly
4. Assembly of small tubing and fittings
5. Reviewing manufacturing cell stock levels and quality
6. Improvement of product assembly through exploring new methods
7. Supporting production technicians with fault finding
8. Reporting of slow processes and quality concerns to line managers
9. Manage workload to achieve target
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience in a production based role
2. 2 A levels or National diploma / GNVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
3. Experience with mechanical assemblies
4. Able and willing to learn
5. Able to work in a busy deadline driven environment.
6. Able to multitask with an organised approach.
7. Confident with Windows, Excel, Word.
8. Ability to read engineering drawings
9. You must hold a full driving license and have your own vehicle as there is no public transport to the site
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
• Good technical understanding of materials
• Experience in fault-finding electro-mechanical assemblies
