Do you have extensive experience of working in mental health services and understand the challenges that the Adult care group can bring?
North and West AMHT have an opportunity for a Band 6 RMN to be part of the integral Treatment function.
The post holder will need to be able to travel around the county, to offer interventions to patients and carers. The area is quite rural with limited public transport, so access to transport is essential.
Main duties of the job
* Co-ordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.
* Work autonomously, managing a caseload of patients to engage and offer recommended treatment and support.
* Provide community mental health care, assessing and planning treatment with service users, managing risk, and utilizing Safeguarding processes.
* Facilitate team working and group interventions such as MBT/CBT based therapies.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including medics, psychological therapists, social workers, OTs, RMNs, and support workers.

Job responsibilities

You will be supported by an experienced leadership team from across the professions who facilitate forums for Nursing and Occupational Therapists and hold your development as central.
Our AMHT provides an assessment and treatment function, with staff working on a rota covering shifts from 07.00 to 21.00 (7 days/week). The successful candidate will be required to work mainly 9-5 Monday to Friday; however, there is an expectation of flexibility to cover out-of-hours shifts when required.
The team works using the FACT model of care, with daily triage meetings involving all members of the MDT (Doctors, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and psychologists).

Education/Training
* Registered Professional Qualification (Mental Health Nurse / OT)
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio
Occupational Experience
* Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
* Relevant experience in community care and specific clinical expertise in mental health
* Understanding of clinical risk assessment and management
* Experience of supervising/managing staff
Skills
* IT literate
* Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work collaboratively as part of a team
