Project Officer Organisation: Sheffield City Council Job Type: 1-year Temporary Contract Pay Rate: £17.09 - £19.23 per hour Sheffield City Council's 'Projects and Move Management' team are looking to appoint a Project Officer to help deliver a 1-year office refurbishment project. In this role, you will focus on delivering a customer focussed facilities management services. Ensuring the effective delivery of a the office move management process and subsequent maintenance and development of the Council's property and facilities. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver office move, refurbishment, and facilities management projects that support the effective use and development of a primary council's property. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies a project deliverables in consultation with the Facilities Management Service and corporate colleagues. Assist in the effective monitoring of all resources including financial, human, and material. Act as a main point of contact on-site throughout construction and facilities development projects, supervising the Corporate Repairs Service and any associated contractors or subcontractors. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in project management, preferably within a facilities management, property, or public sector environment. Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to effectively monitor and manage resources. Knowledge of facilities management best practices and industry standards would be beneficial Experience in construction project management and contract administration is highly desirable.
