Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Overtime + Annual Discretionary Bonus + Pension

I am working with a well-established client based in Stockport, a specialist in the design and build of inspection and simulation machines. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their team and seeking an Installation/Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased) to join their workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and growing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation/Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased) will be responsible for the electrical/mechanical installation of equipment, systems, and components at client sites across the UK and internationally.
Basic commissioning, including setting up software (full training provided) and calibrating cameras .
Fault-finding, diagnosing defects, and rectifying issues or recommending appropriate actions.
Supporting the control team with commissioning on-site.
Collaborating closely with clients, colleagues, and contractors to ensure smooth installation and maintenance processes.
Adhering to site, project, and health & safety regulations at all times.
Reading CAD drawings and setting out datums for accurate installations.
Completing quality reports and ensuring all installations meet high standards.
Assisting in general assembly work in the workshop when not on-site.
Requirements:
Engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical).
17th/18th Edition Electrical qualification – essential.
Proven experience working as an Installation/Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased) in a similar role.
Ability to construct and install system equipment with confidence.
Experience in commissioning new equipment .
Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving license and a valid passport with no travel restrictions – essential.

Hands-on experience using hand tools and equipment.
