Job Description
Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive, inclusive leadership and management to all staff in order to ensure the College enables learner progression in a way that is relevant to individual need.
Quality of Education
* To promote a culture of high standards and continuous improvement that values and empowers staff and encourages the staff team to maximise their potential through continuous learning.
* To develop an appropriate, meaningful and responsive individual curriculum ensuring that high standards are aspired to, achieved and monitored for all learners.
* To oversee the development of resources to aid learning.
* To manage the development of assurance processes for the quality of education.
* To manage underperformance.
* To manage training and continuing professional development of staff.
* To recruit, manage and develop educational and support staff within HR operational policies and procedures.
* To develop and review college policies and procedures.
Personal Development
* To develop pastoral, learner services, enrichment and community inclusion opportunities.
* To be the Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage the Designated Safeguarding Officer and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer.
* To oversee the management of health and safety and the college environment.
* To manage the enrolment/admissions and pre-course assessment processes.
* To manage the development of transition processes.
* To ensure Careers Advice Information and Guidance is embedded.
* To oversee the management of Therapies/Sub contractors.
Behaviour and Attitudes
* To manage and co-ordinate the development of behaviour management with Crisis Prevention Intervention trainer and Positive Behaviour Support staff.
* Ensure British Values, Prevent and LGBT are embedded within the curriculum.
* Ensure Community Access and Social Inclusion are built into the curriculum.
Leadership and Management
* To ensure the provision takes full account of the requirement of the regulators and the commissioners.
* To develop and update the Quality improvement plan and Self Assessment Review annually ensuring College priorities are embedded and work in partnership with staff and the Advisory Board.
* To oversee the further development of Databridge and management information systems.
* To manage, develop and diligently fulfil monitoring processes in relation to funders and data.
* To promote and develop effective working relationships with the whole staff team.
* To develop positive and supportive relationships with stakeholders.
* To contribute to the development of expansion and sustainability of the College in line with the strategic plan.
