Lead Geotechnical Engineer - Offshore Wind - UK
Role: Geotechnical - Offshore Wind - Foundations design: Monopiles. Opportunity to work with major offshore wind farms.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
2. Experience in the offshore wind engineering sector.
3. Experience of geotechnical.
4. Primary Steel Wind Turbine experience.
5. 4 years experience in offshore geotechnical engineering.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience with Monopiles.
2. Knowledge of geotechnics, structures, and dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations.
3. Experience in team leadership and mentoring engineers.
4. Chartered Engineer status.
5. Proficiency in advanced calculation models and FE-modeling.
Responsibilities:
Working in close relationship with clients, contractors, and developers on varied projects, including the detailed design of offshore wind farms in the UK and Europe. Lead and participate in projects from conceptual studies through to detailed design, and follow-up monitoring and assessment. Collaborate with other departments and specialists to foster innovation within the geotechnical field.
Skills:
Good communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage daily demands in a multidisciplinary design team. Strong leadership skills and a willingness to contribute to the ongoing development of technical resources and professional growth.
