Role: Business Development Manager - Demolition
Salary: £up to £60k plus benefits
Location: Dartford
Our client is a family-run contractor that serves the construction and related industries through their enabling services, which include demolition, asbestos removal, remediation, earthworks, infrastructure, waste management, and haulage divisions.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Business Development Manager for their demolition division based in Dartford.
Business Development Manager Duties Include:
1. Responsible for the timely planning, management, and completion of the allocated sections of PQQ & tender submissions
2. Manage a team of Bid-coordinators, allocating their workload and supporting them through the Tenders/PQQs
3. Daily reporting into the Head of Business
4. Interface with social media/awards and CSR
5. Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud - InDesign
6. Overseeing incoming opportunities
7. Planning, writing, and coordinating responses to bids and tenders
8. Compiling, updating, and maintaining a library of company standard tender documentation and model answers
9. Build internal and external relationships with individuals associated with the bid process to create quality bids
10. Develop a creative approach to the writing and presentation of bids
11. Reviewing all bid submissions for quality and accuracy
12. Maintain a high level of market intelligence and best practice in order to create winning bids
13. Assist, support, and report to the Bid Manager
14. Identifying opportunities to enhance and improve the process, whilst sharing best practice with the team
15. Have a clear understanding and interpretation of the questions within the PQQ and tender documents
16. Be able to construct relevant answers which clearly answer the client's question and portray the company in the best possible light
17. Ensure accuracy and up-to-date information is placed in all tender and PQQ documents
18. Ensure the quality of the response meets the company standards
19. Undertake research for the team to improve bid content
20. Create/assist with PowerPoint presentations
21. Construct flow/organisation charts to support bid proposals
22. Develop business CVs of project team tailored to suit prospective projects
23. Maintain up-to-date case studies of recent projects
