One of our clients based in London is seeking a Community Safety Officer to join their team. This is a critical role aimed at addressing anti-social behaviour (ASB) and enhancing public safety by fostering collaboration between council services, residents, businesses, and law enforcement. Temporary: ASAP to 31/03/2025 (35:00 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Investigate and address anti-social behaviour issues to maintain public well-being.
2. Collaborate with internal teams, law enforcement, and community partners to enhance safety.
3. Educate and engage with stakeholders to promote public awareness and safety initiatives.
4. Enforce ASB-related legislation, including issuing formal notices, warnings, and legal documents.
5. Prepare and present cases for enforcement, including attending court and providing evidence.
6. Develop and implement strategies, policies, and statutory plans related to ASB.
7. Utilize IT systems to record data and ensure efficient case management.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal frameworks, including PACE, CPIA, and RIPA.
Essential Requirements:
1. Expert knowledge of ASB legislation, including the ASB, Crime, and Policing Act 2014.
2. Proven experience in ASB reduction or a related area.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to investigate and resolve cases efficiently, independently, and collaboratively.
5. Experience in working with a variety of stakeholders, including public, private, and third-sector organizations.
6. Competence in using IT systems and technical databases.
7. Understanding of local government operations and the associated political context.
