The Opportunity: Due to continued business growth, we are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and committed Senior/Principal Surveyors to join our HS2 Department within our Monitoring Division based out of Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in surveying and project management, looking to work on a high-profile project within the expeditious Geospatial industry. What will I be doing in my new role? Lead and direct survey projects of high complexity ensuring timely completion, meeting company standards, and adhering to budget constraints. Act as a mentor, guide, and trainer to the other surveyors, elevating the skills and knowledge base of the department. Play a pivotal role in client communication, fostering strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Oversee the entire survey process - from initial planning, data collection, data processing, QA, to final delivery. Engage with marketing teams, providing insights and real-world data for promotional materials and campaigns. Ensure compliance with the company's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality management system. Attend regular briefing sessions and give constructive feedback during site meetings. Maintain equipment and vehicle protocols, ensuring tools and machinery are in top working condition. Delivering instructions on a broad range of surveys and disciplines to survey teams Work with modern survey methods and survey devices such as total stations, GNSS and data collectors. Record surveying information accurately and consistently on site to the agreed specification and scope Any other duties as required by the business Requirements of the role: A minimum of 5 years of survey experience (previous Monitoring experience is an advantage) Relevant Surveying degree/ Qualification and/or relevant experience Strong knowledge of the UK construction industry (ideally in surveying and monitoring) Experience in working to high safety standards. Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel Strong technical knowledge CSCS Card Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients Full clean UK manual driving License.
