Location: North East England
Contract Duration: Initial 6 months (likely to extend beyond 12 months)
Working Hours: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM (10 hours per day)
Rate: £500/day (Outside IR35)
Additional Requirements: Occasional weekend work

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Permit to Work Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a high-profile project in the North East of England. This role is critical to ensuring the safety and compliance of all on-site activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the permit to work system, ensuring all permits are correctly issued, tracked, and closed out.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage the permit to work system, ensuring all permits are issued in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
* Conduct regular audits and inspections of permits and associated work activities.
* Liaise with site management, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to ensure all permit requirements are understood and adhered to.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all permits issued and closed.
* Provide training and support to site personnel on the permit to work process.
* Ensure all safety procedures are followed and promote a culture of safety on site.
* Respond to and resolve any issues or conflicts related to the permit to work system promptly.
* Participate in site meetings and provide updates on permit to work activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field (preferred).
* Certification in Health, Safety, and Environmental Management or equivalent (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus.
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within [industry].
* Strong understanding of risk management and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
