An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in training and supporting people to safely manage their home dialysis therapy whilst ensuring a high standard of care.
Recent renal nursing experience essential and PD experience highly desirable. The post involves 7 day a week working with occasional on call duties. The post holder needs to be able to work within the acute hospital setting as well as carrying out community home visits.
The post holder is required to work independently as well as part of a team.
The post holder will manage a group of patients, ensuring their therapy achieves national adequacy standards and adjusting their management in collaboration with the medical and wider renal teams.
The post holder will be responsible for training patients and care givers to safely manage their dialysis at home, with continuing training and education within the community on home visits.
The role involves working closely with the wider renal multidisciplinary team and monitoring patients treatment.
The post holder is required to work independently managing and prioritising their own work load, as well working collaboratively within the PD team.
