Key Responsibilities : Account Management & Business Growth Develop and execute joint business plans to drive sales, customer engagement, and profitability. Collaborate with procurement, technical, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability, quality, and service performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with key buyers and stakeholders. Analyse EPOS data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities. Ensure customer portals are updated and business processes are strictly followed. Commercial & Financial Management Ensure accurate forecasting, cost-to-serve analysis, and margin contribution. Lead commercial forums to track sales performance and monitor key account plans. Work with Finance to manage sales debtor reports and ensure on-time payments. Oversee promotions, pricing strategies, and contractual agreements. Supply Chain & Sustainability Navigate global and local supply chain complexities for short shelf-life products. Develop responsible multi-sourcing strategies ensuring security of supply and value drivers. Manage sourcing risks related to political, environmental, and market dynamics. Optimise customer specifications to ensure margin delivery and market agility. What We're Looking For : Industry Experience Proven track record in high-volume, low-margin fresh produce supply chains. Account Management Expertise Strong background in grocery retail, foodservice, or food manufacturing. Commercial Acumen Contract negotiation, sales growth, and P&L management experience. Analytical & Data-Driven Ability to analyse EPOS data, market insights, and trends. Project Management Experience leading category development and cross-functional projects. Resilient & Agile Thrives under pressure, adaptable to market shifts and supply chain challenges. Technical Knowledge Understanding of BRC, Global GAP, LEAF, TNC, ETI, and Organic certifications (preferred). IT Skills Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word ) and CRM systems. Qualifications Degree in a relevant field (Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Food Science, or equivalent ). Additional Requirements : Mobility Ability to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally. Full UK Driving Licence required. Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
