Job summary Join our team as a Medical Secretary at City Health Practice Ltd - GP Practices We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Medical Secretary to join our team at City Health Ltd GP Practices. The successful candidate will provide clerical support to the Practice Manager, Doctors, and Nurses to ensure the smooth management of practice administration. This role involves liaising with the wider organisation on routine administrative matters, developing word processing functions within the practice clinical system, and planning and coordinating meetings. Main duties of the job The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with practice staff and patients including those who have accessible information needs or who are non-English speaking, including the use of interpreters or language line. Show compassion and understanding when dealing with distressed patients/carers, and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and care. The successful candidate must possess strong organisational and planning skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and have advanced keyboard skills and software knowledge for dictation and transcription and be proficiency in using word processing functions and clinical computer systems.
