Careers Advisor – FE Colleges (Nottingham, Derbyshire, Midlands) Protocol is working with several FE colleges in the Nottingham, Derbyshire, and Midlands’s area in search of experienced Careers Advisors. We are looking for individuals who have an excellent track record of providing career guidance and are passionate about helping to improve young people’s skills and knowledge to boost their career aspirations. As a Careers Advisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality advice and guidance to students, helping them navigate their career paths and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with both students and staff to develop tailored support plans and provide expert knowledge on a wide range of career options, further education, training, and employment opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group career guidance sessions to students across a range of disciplines. Assist students in identifying their career goals and create actionable plans to achieve them. Organize and deliver workshops, seminars, and career-focused events. Support students with job search strategies, CV writing, interview preparation, and application processes. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and career advice provided. Work closely with employers, apprenticeship providers, and universities to create opportunities for students. Ideal Candidate: Experience in delivering career advice and guidance within an FE or similar educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students from diverse backgrounds. In-depth knowledge of current career pathways, job market trends, and education opportunities. Relevant qualifications in careers guidance or a related field (e.g., Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance or equivalent).
