Job summary The Oxford Health Pharmacy Team are looking for two full time Pharmacy Assistants to join our NHS Dispensary in Kennington, Oxford. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistants to join our dedicated team and support the local community by delivering high-quality pharmacy services to patients within The Oxford Health Foundation Trust. This role would be suitable for anybody who has previous pharmacy experience, including community pharmacy experience and looking to transition to hospital pharmacy, or anybody looking for a new challenge and is keen to learn and work within a dedicated team. Full appropriate training will be provided. Main duties of the job You will have a variety of duties within the department, involving the supply of stock drugs to wards and departments within the Trust across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Wiltshire. As part of a team, you will perform tasks such as picking ward stock orders ensuring they reach the wards in a timely manner, booking in deliveries from wholesalers and processing returns. You will also be involved in the labelling and dispensing of medication using the pharmacy system Ascribe. An NVQ level 2 in pharmacy would be desirable and experience of working in a pharmaceutical related or hospital environment would be an advantage however full training will be provided in the department.
