As a Fleet Workshop Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the VMU's at Bellshill and Edinburgh, and all vehicles satisfy DOT standards for road-worthiness.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the VMU and achieve targeted KPIs and objectives.
2. Diagnose and repair vehicles to minimum DOT standards in line with the company preventative maintenance programme. Complete relevant documents for all work undertaken including reporting to the manager.
3. Adhere to all company preventative maintenance and service schedules.
4. Prepare all necessary reports and paperwork.
5. Road test vehicles (where qualified to do so).
6. Ensure correct and effective safe use of all tools, plant, and ancillary equipment.
7. Ensure PPE is worn in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policy.
8. Adhere to all HASWA/Legislation/Security procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
9. Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
10. Ensure no vehicle leaves the VMU in an unroadworthy condition.
General Responsibilities:
1. Partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the SFA and People, Service Profit code.
2. Manage, train, and develop employees within the team in accordance with their job role and business requirements.
3. Develop staff for succession through coaching, delegation, and feedback.
4. Promote a professional image of the company and comply with the company’s policies and code of conduct at all times, including work-related events outside of normal working hours.
5. Comply with all relevant Health, Safety, and Security Regulations.
6. Seek continuous improvement through ongoing quality initiatives in line with business objectives.
7. Take all reasonable action to ensure the safety and security of vehicles and equipment.
8. Carry out any other duty deemed reasonable by the management of FedEx Express UK Transportation Limited.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and comply with company health and safety standards thereby minimising the risk to yourself and any other person.
2. Ensure that all Health and Safety policies and procedures in your area of responsibility are complied with and fully maintained as detailed in the Company’s management system.
