Role: PET Administration Specialist
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent (Full-Time or Part-Time)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Specialist to join us in our Christchurch based PETCT admin team. You will be responsible for the successful coordination and booking of imaging appointments as well as providing a frontline reception service that interacts with patients, referrers, funders, and the public in a prompt and professional manner.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Answering incoming calls in an effective and timely manner to ensure a first call resolution
2. Welcoming patients and visitors while determining and fulfilling their needs
3. Applying correct protocols and liaising with appropriate clinical teams to obtain the correct procedures for the patient, any special requirements or staff required for the procedure
4. Protecting patient privacy while also liaising with appropriate clinical teams to ensure the correct procedures are met
5. Requesting blood tests, previous imaging, and surgical notes on behalf of patients to ensure their procedures have the best outcome and ensure patient notes are clear
6. Managing applications for funding as required as well as providing patients with a clear indication of costs for all procedures
You will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
1. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, and the ability to pick up new computer systems
2. Exceptional organisational skills
3. Exceptional communication and customer service skills
4. Ability to process large amounts of technical and variable information
5. Some knowledge of medical terminology is desired
