Working within Keltbray’s Energy Business Unit based in our Crewe Office working on a large energy Framework. Forming a part of the Commercial team, the Quantity Surveyor plays an integral part in delivering exceptional commercial results. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, commercial reporting and maximising profit. This role would suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career or a established Quantity Surveyor looking for job security and longevity. This role is working as part of our Distribution Energy team, Being based from our Crewe office, with 1 day/night per week to be spent at our distribution site office located in Bury St Edmunds, Kings Lynn. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the commercial team in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensure the profitability, cash management, cost control and accurate reporting of all schemes. Your role will include: Input into the application and credit control processes Understanding of income forecast and pricing of variations Understanding of the change control system Understanding of project risk Understanding of the production of CVRs Understanding of CTC Understanding the production of forecasting data Understanding the costing process Understanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentation Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams. Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries. Attend project progress meetings. Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.
