Job Summary As a Remote IT Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing first-line and second-line IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations for end users. You will be a key point of contact for technical queries, working to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Key Responsibilities Respond to IT support requests from customers and internal users via phone, email, and remote assistance tools. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner. Provide step-by-step technical guidance to users, ensuring they can effectively use IT systems and applications. Install, configure, and update software and operating systems remotely. Manage and maintain IT assets, user accounts, and system access permissions. Document technical issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting processes in the companys IT ticketing system. Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior IT support teams when necessary. Assist with IT security procedures, such as password resets, account security checks, and basic cybersecurity awareness. Collaborate with different teams to improve IT processes and user experiences. Stay up to date with the latest IT developments, software updates, and troubleshooting techniques. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in an IT support, help desk, or similar technical role (minimum 2 years). Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, including troubleshooting and configuration. Familiarity with IT support tools such as remote desktop applications, Active Directory, and ticketing systems. Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, etc.). Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or other enterprise productivity tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment. A customer-focused approach with patience and professionalism in handling IT-related concerns. Preferred Skills IT certifications such as CompTIA A, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or equivalent are highly desirable. Experience supporting cloud computing environments and virtualisation technologies. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT security fundamentals. Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM). Work Schedule Monday to Friday: 9 AM 6 PM (GMT) Occasional on-call support may be required, with additional compensation.
