The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has opened up with our leading client for an experienced EC&I Engineer to provide EC&I Design support to the construction, instillation and commissioning activities on the plant, working closely with the associated site-based engineering teams. This will be part on the Client's Intelligence Customer (IC) Engineering team, overseeing and liaising with the main contractor engineering delivery team.
The role
As an EC&I Engineer, you role will be responsible for supporting the project throughout all delivery phases of design, procurement, construction, commissioning and beyond into active operations ramp up of the plant.
This role has been deemed inside IR35

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Report directly to the CE&I Responsible Engineer in the fact of discharging the role of Design Intelligent Customer
Provide appropriate independent governance, oversight and strategic control for the scrutiny of engineering design and design delivery across multiple work packages/ systems on the project.
Provide package/ system specific design support.
Provide periodic/ occasional on-site support to the delivery of CE&I Design and intelligent Customer oversight. You will have the following qualifications & experience
Expereince on the plant process control systems with PLC/SCADA or equivalent architectures
Knowledge of PES/ Software lifecycle and supporting design and test documentation.
Knowledge of Concise and how it is applied and managed throughout the design process.
Engineer will be required to provide technical support during design close out, instillation and commissioning.
Support to FOB process and development of engineering solutions with the project contractor
Knowledge of CE Marking and Machinery Risk Assessments Understanding of contractual practices and arrangements, NEC3 contract or other similar arrangement experience preferred.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working in an office. These can include display screen equipment, stress, manual handling, slips, trips and falls, fire and emergency, work equipment and electrical safety and temperature. A full induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the building. The role is predominantly office based, with occasional trips to the project site. When visiting the site a full site and safety induction will be provided.
