Job Overview
This Diesel Engine Technician position is based in Aberdeen and involves working as part of a team to maintain equipment, visit client sites for repairs/servicing, and keep accurate service records.
The role requires a proven mechanical background, with experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines from leading manufacturers such as Detroit, Volvo, CAT, Iveco, and Perkins. Additionally, the successful candidate will be skilled in reading technical schematics and working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Diesel Engine Maintenance and Repair: Carry out routine maintenance tasks, diagnose and repair issues with diesel engines, and ensure all work is done to a high standard.
* Technical Schematic Reading: Interpret technical diagrams and instructions to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively.
* Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Experience: Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems to diagnose and repair faults, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven Mechanical Background: A strong understanding of mechanical principles and practices.
