We are recruiting for an Accounts Semi Senior to join their one of their specialist teams who provide bookkeeping, forecasting, accounts preparations, and tax return services to the ever-changing agriculture and equestrian sector.
Based out of their main office in Cambridge, the role of Accounts Semi-Senior will have ownership of the following tasks:
* Undertaking accounts preparation assignments, including the accompanying tax computations.
* Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate.
* Reviewing team members' work and own work before passing to the senior on the job.
* Using initiative to resolve any client queries with minimal input from senior / manager.
* Training / mentoring more junior colleagues
To be considered, you must -
* Be at least AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part qualified.
* Show that you have experience of working in an accountancy practice preparing sets of accounts to UK regulations.
* Have an up to date working knowledge of VAT
* Have experience of using Farmplan, Sage, Xero and Quickbooks Online
* An element of client facing experience
* Experience or knowledge of the agriculture and bloodstock sector would, of course, be of interest.
