East Lothian, Health & Social Care Partnership are seeking to recruit a Senior Practitioner within adult social work services across assessment and care management and adult protection. You will contribute to the professional development of adult social work services and be an effective member of an ambitious and forward thinking service, providing a responsive and needs led service. You will be responsible for supporting operational social work key processes. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, national standards, policies and guidance is also essential as it relates to self directed support and adult protection is preferred. You will also provide advice and information to service users and groups about other services available and participate in the development of new policies and procedures., To provide an advanced level of practice that ensures appropriate services are provided to meet client needs within the department's statutory obligations and departmental policies and procedures., Essential: Approved qualification in Social Work. Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Those with international Social Work qualifications should not apply unless they are fully registered with the SSSC. Desirable: Post qualifying award Driving Licence Full current driving licence and access to a vehicle

PVG/Disclosure Requirements This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Hourly rate of pay: £24.24 - £27.07 Candidates will be assessed on the basis of appropriate relevant experience and qualifications and salary placed within the advertised scale. Days and Hours of Work: Working 5 days a week. Days of working are negotiable, flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible. To start December 2024.
