Job Purpose: As the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse functions during your shift, ensuring operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and service standards set by Alloga UK, its clients, and regulatory bodies. Additionally, you will act as a deputy for the Operations Manager when necessary.
Key Tasks:
1. Enforce Company Health & Safety policies among direct reports consistently
2. Report accidents and near misses promptly to the HS&E Manager
3. Ensure department activities comply with company procedures and client instructions
4. Provide support, leadership, and problem-solving skills across warehouse functions
5. Monitor and optimize profit and costs, focusing on planned and utilized hours through Cognos
6. Control weekly charging reports and handle any Ad hoc tasks
7. Maintain professional and responsive communication with clients/customers
8. Meet or exceed KPI targets and develop plans to achieve them
9. Conduct team briefings regularly
10. Foster teamwork and continuous improvement throughout the workplace
11. Identify training needs for staff and coordinate training with the HR team
12. Ensure Supervisors are equipped to address operational issues
13. Conduct performance reviews and annual appraisals for direct reports
14. Enforce Company Discipline and Grievance Procedure when necessary
15. Oversee staff recruitment following company procedures
16. Monitor staff appearance and adherence to uniform guidelines
17. Ensure H&S guidelines are followed and staff are aware of their responsibilities
18. Attend weekly Managers review meetings
19. Complete shift handover logs and maintain inter-shift communication
20. Perform daily H&S/Housekeeping checks
21. Understand GDP and ISO standards
22. Maintain Inventory routines and MHE checks
23. Address warehouse and product issues promptly
24. Investigate and resolve customer service matters within agreed timelines
25. Ensure staff are trained on quality requirements
26. Monitor product returns and warehouse damages
27. Fulfill reasonable requests from Senior Management
.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
43. Education to O/GCSE Level Standard or above
44. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
45. Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse or similar environment

47. Trained in relevant SOPs within 3 months
