Section Manager
Location: Droitwich Spa
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Purpose of the Role
This is a hands-on role, responsible for proactively leading the efficient and effective operation of the Hydraulic Force department, delivering inspirational service to all our customers, both external and internal, and ensuring that we deliver the plan for the department.
Main Duties
1. Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery and other related equipment.
2. Oversee day-to-day operations of the CNC machine shop.
3. Allocate tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure production targets are met.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
5. Continuously monitor and adjust machine settings to optimise performance and maintain product quality.
6. Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
7. Liaise with the Managing Director regarding production issues and improvements.
8. Use and interpret detailed blueprints and drawings.
9. Calculate dimensions.
10. Measure and test completed products to check for defects.
11. Maintain machine tools and operating equipment.
12. Monitor and control costs in line with the business plan.
13. Provide customer quotations according to the schedules and pricing.
14. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of operators and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
15. People management, including all HR-related issues.
16. Champion safety initiatives and practices within the production area, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications/Experience
1. Previous experience working in a managerial or supervisory role.
2. Previous experience in the programming, setting, and operating of XYZ CNC machines is essential.
3. An ability to motivate and inspire team members to exceed targets.
4. An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and customers.
5. An understanding of the demands of the role and the time and attention needed to produce impressive results.
6. A proven track record of delivering outstanding results and exceptional customer satisfaction.
7. Experience in product costing.
8. Understanding of CAD/CAM software.
