A quality led house builder with a great reputation are looking to recruit a Development Co-ordinator / Technical Coordinator for their office in Birmingham Main Purpose of the Role: Carry out contractual responsibilities for coordination of bid, proposal, planning application details and construction. Control of information flow Co-ordination of Design Team and Specialist subcontractors Management of design process during the bidding and planning processes to ensure all projects are technically compliant with the requisite design standards. Managing the Process Attend bid launch/ design team and planning stage meetings to agree accountabilities Support the technical manager through the technical process for various live sites Liaise with consultants & sub-contractors regarding the construction process Research available planning/ technical information Process design information and maintain document control and issue (Via Project) Review design and specifications for alternatives to provide added value Monitor release of design information against agreed programme Manage design interface between packages Produce weekly design reports Coordinate utility services search and obtain new connection and diversion budget quotations Assist in the identification of risk and production of risk registers. Co-ordinate planning applications content and contributors Serving the Customer (Internal and External) Assist the team with management of design & technical information and coordination of the Design Team Develop presentations and presentation documents for discussion with internal and external clients and customers Determine scope and extent of consultants works and services Select consultants and negotiate appointment terms inc fee, PI, capacity, experience in line with budgets and timescales Provide information relating to the onward appointment of consultants up to planning to commercial as necessary for formal appointment Delivering Quality : Encourage innovative cost effective solutions Audit designs for regulation and specification conformity Review site/ project risks, constraints and opportunities Produce sketch/ CAD feasibility layouts through external consultants Produce site specification proposals from regional generic details The Person: It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Development Co-ordinator or Technical Coordiantor in a similar house building environment. Experience in housing is essential.
