We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineering Director to lead our Chemical & Biological Treatment business platform. As a key member of our team, you will take on a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.
About the Role
* Meet with clients to discuss specific intervention requirements and develop tailored solutions.
* Take the lead on development of bids and proposals for new projects or strategic frameworks, leveraging your expertise in Electrical Engineering.
* Carry out the planning and implementation of projects in association with our Delivery Management teams, driving innovation and efficiency throughout the process.
* Line manage and develop assigned EICA staff within your team, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
* Take the lead on the development of EICA design deliverables by you and your team, shaping the direction of our business stream.
* Provide technical guidance on EICA matters to the wider project team and Senior Management, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
* Help RSE maintain its position as the contractor of choice to our key clients, driving business growth and expansion.
* Mentor, identify, and develop the next generation of EICA Engineering talent, shaping the future of our industry.
* Continue to drive and shape RSE's journey towards Net Zero, contributing to a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach.
About You
* Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a strong academic record.
* Professional Registration with IET, InstMC, or similar (IEng, CEng), demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
* A passion to succeed and develop your career, with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn.
* A well-developed knowledge of British and European design standards, with experience in their application.
* Proven management capability, including all aspects of project development, design, construction, and commissioning, with a track record of success.
* Detailed knowledge of Instrumentation and Process Control, with experience in their implementation and optimization.
* Preconstruction design and cost evaluation knowledge and experience, with a strong understanding of project economics.
* The ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with excellent time management skills.
* A full UK Driving Licence, allowing you to travel freely and efficiently throughout the country.
