What you will be doing:
1. Collaborate with the Health and Safety Team to carry out day-to-day H&S activities ensuring compliance with H&S practices and driving a H&S People First Culture.
2. Proactively apply the ISO 45001 standard, updating and improving the OH&S management system to reflect the current business activities, including reviewing all policies, procedures, and legal registers.
3. Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager to manage and implement all Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work to ensure quality and timely completion.
4. Manage the administration and coordination of all RUK H&S documentation, ensuring availability to all employees via the SharePoint folder on the Ricoh Intranet.
5. Support the Health and Safety Manager in promoting a Health Safety First culture across the business.
6. Perform audits/reviews on different business areas to assess H&S performance and implement corrective actions.
7. Manage the due diligence of sub-contractor information to ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
8. Understand the impact of retaining H&S accreditations such as ISO 45001, CHAS, and Safecontractor, and escalate concerns to the Health and Safety Manager.
Ideally you will have:
1. Good understanding of H&S legislation.
2. Previous experience with OH&S management systems (ISO 45001).
3. Ability to develop and implement high-quality risk assessments and safe systems of work.
4. Confidence in providing practical solutions related to H&S.
5. Qualification: NEBOSH General Certificate or higher.
