Role Purpose Hochiki Europe is a leading manufacturer of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting products. The Channel Sales Manager will be responsible for managing our national distributor and solution partner network for fire products and emergency lighting. To achieve the annual sales growth objective through building effective relationships to generate increased demand for our products. Increase the profile and positioning of our brand within the channel and facilitate the transactional route our project sales and challenged with further development and expansion of the distribution channel. Reporting to: UK Sales Manager Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and implement channel sales strategies and plans in line with the company's overall sales objectives. • Identify and develop new partnerships to expand the company's distribution network. • Manage and maintain existing distributor relationships, ensuring they are meeting sales targets and delivering excellent customer service. • Negotiate distributor rebate agreements to incentivise sales growth and ensure profitability. • Manage and oversee channel pricing and product availability to ensure competitive pricing and optimal inventory levels. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product development and marketing efforts align with distributor needs and market trends. • Provide an ongoing forecast by Channel • Facilitate and delegate required actions to be undertaken by the Regional Sales Managers • Compile and facilitate the delivery a national training program within the network in providing a platform to educate and promote the USP’s of the company’s products. • Design and deploy a program of national channel campaigns and promotions • Analyse and report on distributor sales performance, providing regular updates and recommendations to the management team. • Report on industry trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and plans. • Accurate and timely submission of all administrative paperwork including monthly expenses. • Effective communication on any issues which could impact departments. In addition to this, you will possess the following: Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field • Essential: Industry qualifications • Desirable: Knowledge in both fire and emergency lighting Experience • Minimum of 5 years' experience in distributor sales and account management, preferably in the fire and emergency lighting industry. • Commercial experience with strong negotiation skills in developing and implementing rebate agreements with distributors. • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering profitable results. Knowledge and Technical skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and make informed decisions. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage distributor relationships. • Essential: Computer Literate with knowledge of Windows operating system • Desirable: Working knowledge of SAP and CRM systems Personal qualities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously. - Ability to network with senior industry stakeholders. - Good teamwork, delegation skills with ability to collaborate at senior management level. - Strong presentation and training skills - High attention to detail - Desire to travel the UK and Overseas when required. - Desire to advance in our business.
