This is a generalist HR position where you'll manage a wide range of responsibilities, from recruitment and employee relations to compliance and training. A background in the industrial sector is highly desirable, and a full, clean driving license is essential, as you may occasionally need to travel between sites.
Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Relations: Provide advice and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
2. Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new hires.
3. Performance Management: Support line managers with appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
4. Compliance: Ensure HR processes align with employment legislation and internal policies.
5. Training & Development: Identify training needs and support the rollout of development initiatives.
6. HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and handle HR-related documentation.
7. Workplace Support: Act as a key point of contact for employees, fostering a positive workplace culture.
HR Advisor - About You
Experience: Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong knowledge of employment law, excellent communication, and organizational abilities.
Driving License: A full, clean driving license is required for occasional travel.
Personality: A proactive, approachable, and solution-focused professional who thrives in a busy setting.
Location: This role is fully onsite, so you must be able to commute to Wakefield daily.
