About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the shift engineering manager will be accountable for taking a proactive approach in providing engineering leadership across the site and driving continuous improvement.
Engineering Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the engineering function, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality, reliable engineering support across all operations.
Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Team Management: As a Shift Engineering Manager you will oversee two areas of responsibility. Each shift team will consist of two team leaders and a leader, making up a team of three for day-to-day operations.About You

Key Skills and Experience Required:
Qualifications: HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline; multi-skilled candidates are welcome.
Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role, with proven experience in leading teams and delivering results.
Team Leadership: Capable of managing 3 direct reports and overseeing 9 indirect reports daily.
Continuous Improvement: Strong track record of driving improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively lead a team.
Results-Oriented: Experienced in implementing strategies to enhance performance and operational efficiency.This is a full-time, permanent position based at Dronfield Derbyshire. The working hours are 42 hours per week (Sunday to Saturday 4 days on 4 off rotating shifts).
