About the Role
We have two Respite Services Coordinator vacancies, both 30 hours a week, at our respite centres in Gloucester and Stroud.
As a Respite Services Coordinator, you’ll be part of a dedicated team at one of our short break units. The service is designed for adults with learning disabilities and other complex needs. Each unit provides 24-hour care for planned, unplanned, and emergency stays. In this highly rewarding role, you’ll create a positive, caring, and stimulating environment that meets every guest’s needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Creating a fulfilling and dignified environment for guests.
2. Guiding care plans and risk assessments.
3. Assisting with personal care and medication.
4. Leading shifts as the Shift Lead if required.
With an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, you’ll have hands-on experience of working with people with learning disabilities. You will manage your own workload and work as part of a team, with opportunities to learn and develop.
Shift Basis
You will join us on a shift basis, which will include every other weekend and sleep-in duties as required. You must be flexible to help out at other locations when required.
